I have been photographing people’s love and lives for 11 years. For the first five years, I worked alongside my dad as a father-daughter duo. He chatted with everyone, and to my feigned horror, he sampled all the cocktail food and danced all night. He passed in 2021, and I can’t help but think of him at every wedding I shoot. It makes me happy that my business was also his passion.
I love looking through old family photos from generations long gone and getting a glimpse into their lives. When I shoot, I often think about the generations to come going through these photos and seeing their genuine humanness.
Photography is not one-size-fits-all; whenever I pick up my camera, I look for the best ways to document and serve. Since I started my business, many things have changed, but one thing will never change: connection. Your story will look different from everyone else’s, and that’s the beauty. My work is not perfect, but I find so much beauty in those unrehearsed, in-between moments. This job is not a series of business transactions to me; it is a connection to people who share the same belief that our lives deserve to be documented in all their imperfect beauty. Everyone is welcome here. I’ve got you; let’s do this!
